Our 2 hour tour of Weardale & Northumberland is one of our personal favourites. Heading North from the Helme Park hotel up the A68 , riding along the side of Derwent resevoir, through the medievil village of Blanchland which is steeped in so much history, across the high moors towards Allenheads with views ( on a fine day ) of the Scottish borders. The remote upland moors of Weardale, the beautiful tranqil Burnhope resevoir, briefly stepping onto the highest road in England before traveling down the dale through Westgate, Stanhope & Wolsingham. This is really one of our home tours and is second to none ! |
