WE HAVE RECENTLY FINISHED A 1500 MILE DRIVE OVER 2 DAYS TO THE SWISS/ GERMAN BORDER TO PICK UP THE NEW TRIKE....IT HAS BEEN MANY YEARS SINCE I HAVE FELT LIKE THIS ABOUT ANY VEHICLE BUT IT IS ABSOLUTLY AMAZING......DROVE IT TODAY AND THIS IS THE MOST FUN IVE HAD FOR YEARS, REALLY..TRIKE TOURS,TRIKE TOURS.......................EVERY ONE MUST TRY THIS..READ ON......... Our fantasic new bike came last month and its totally lush,, in black and chrome, just seems to be more of it ........oh yes, its fuel injected this one, with running boards studded saddle bags......its absolutly wicked ! RIDE OF YOUR LIFE is now RIDE OF YOUR LIFE chauffeured trike & motorcyle tours. Boy we have some fantastic new motor cycle tours lined up for you in 2008........ Starting with the improved 1 hour tour which takes you up to Derwent res and over the moors to Stanhope and back through Weardale , its about and extra 15mile of tour for no extra money , breath taking veiws assured.. The original 1 hour motorcycle tour through to Rookhope and back around Weardale is still running as this is hugley popular. Also a tourist trip running around Durham City, Durham catherderal, the oriental gardens & museum, DLI ,whorlton Park etc,etc.. There are new two hour tours lined up heading into Northumberland which are looking especially nice, as well as the motorcycle tours which run through Weardale & Teesdale, through st johns Chapel, Langdon Beck , Middleton in Teesdale and Barnard Castle. Also lined up are the trike tours into Northumberland and the coast for Half day tours. And the big one, the full day tour is being set up now to Holy Island, Alnwick Castle, Sea houses , Amble and the surrounding coastline. The Lake district, Windermere , keswick, Ambleside, Long meg stone circle and Castle rig stone circle , Hartside and the Eden valley. And much,much more......... We will soon have so many tours that we could write a book about them all...........not a bad Idea actually. Also available on the trike tours is a bottle of champagne and 2 glasses for your special occasion, obviously there is a charge for this but its kept as minimal as possible. The trike tours are picking up all over the North East including airports if youre flying into our area this can be arranged to take you to your hotel, we can even recommend some fantastic Hotels in Weardale & Northumberland for you stay or eat at. | March 21st. 2008 Its been a hectic 3 months, what with the new trike & bike. We have done a load of distribution events distributing 20,000 leaflets in 10 days, phew! Mark was asked to be a judge on Wolfs Lair, it like Dragons den for schools, sittting on a panel of business people from the Durham area, the winners which were chosen were Wolsingham and Bishop Barrington School who shared a cheque for a couple of thousand pounds. We have had the Easter egg appeal which went great we collected 100 eggs for local childrens charitys and the hospital. Tyne tees news is doing some filming with us and the BBC are doing a 4 minute film of us, we are in the new Durham Dales promotional video which we were shooting yesterday and we are now on the books with Northern Film & Media ( Harry Potter, Atonement..to name but a couple which they have done). This is as well as all the regular bookings which we are doing, some weeks it just never stops. Took the Regimental Sargeant Major from Newcastle Barracks to the mess the other night, all dressed in the full regalia, thourghly enjoyed that one, what a bunch of top blokes. Other stuff in the pipe line which will raise a few eye brows but you'll just have to keep watching this space to find out what it is...... |

| JULY 2008 . Hello,,,, Its been about 3 months since weve done the blog, never seem to get a minute to write it at the moment, but here goes, 5.27 Am , the start of a new day...c'mon.. The trike is never off the road, Only this weekend we we running tours around the Lake District and a strange little place called Womly, or is that Walney Island, just off Barrow -in-Furnace. It was quite a nice coast line , even had a real Buddist temple and veiws of Blackpool and Morcombe. On the way home we came across a pub which didnt sell beer. Totally true! still it was a lovely inn, the Cross keys Tenperance inn, some where near Dent in the Yorkshire National Park, maybe 20 miles South of Kirby Steven. Heading further North, we have added a lot of tours in Northumberland, as well as the ever popular 'Hadrians Wall tour' we now have tours of Holy Island, Chillingham Castle ( the most haunted castle in Britain), Anwick, Morpeth, Bamburgh, Rothbury, the list goes on and on....... I think in total we have about 15 set tours now and its growing all the time...The Yorkshire National Park tours are stunning, really off the beaten track once you get away from Helmsly. Advertising now on Durham FM radio station with a really cool sounding advert, and lots of magazines, costs a fortune for all the advertising, but its worth it. Sunderland Airshow was packed, bit of a shame you couldnt see any planes for the fog but it was red hot and everyone seemed to enjoy it, was running up to South Shields, Whitburn with guests .. We travelled 18 writers around Stanhope last month, 2 at a time, that was an enjoyable few hours, and a free lunch........ Really love my job though, getting to chill out with cool and intresting people every day ( well mostly ) the fact that they have booked tours in the first place means that your kinda on the same wave length, some of the tours are extra special though, to see people enjoying themselves so much is so rewarding, especially the kids, often the tours last longer than they are meant to, I really try to stretch it out for those who are clearly loving it ..even make a few new mates along the way ! Been getting into a bit middle of the night trail riding recently, 3 am start while the moon is still up, trail riding and green laning through the forests on over the moors and Dales, it is amazing ,(obviously do this on a trail bike , not the trike..lol.). Which brings me on to , NORTH OF ENGLAND MOTORCYCLE TOURS. Mainly aimed at the European market we have set up another division showing visitors around the well known and the not so well know areas of Weardale & Teesdale as well as Northumberland and Yorkshire. For groups of motorcyclist traveling from the continent, as well as motorcyclists traveling in to our area, We use a lead bike and set off on our guided motorcycle tours. Its really inexpensive for groups and it allows them to see all the best sights.. Sure I must have the best job in the world...... Mark. |

| SEPTEMBER 2008 Hello again, What have we been up to over the last couple of month ? Well, Last month was a blast, we were asked to help make the new promotional video for Co Durham, which airs on the 'enjoy England' website , as well as 'discover Durham' and obviously our own site. The 'enjoy England ' site will get 450,000 hits alone this month ! Fronting the show was the world renowned travel writer 'Simon Calder' ( who is a top bloke). Basically the trike was used as a link between cool places in Durham, the Cathedral, Hamsterley forest, High Force & Bowes museum, with Simon traveling about the county on the trike and also filming from the back of it with the camera man. It was a very long day, but the weather was good, spirts were high and it went really well, the results speek for themselves ( if youve not seen the video yet its on our home page). A couple more tours are about to go on the site soon including a 5 hour tour of Teesdale, Swaledale, and Richmondshire, inc' Bolton castle. Also a fantastic 10 hour champagne tour of Northumberland and the Scottish Borders. After the success of the 'night terror tours' we are arranging the halloween tours again, they are guarenteed to be a real 'SCREAM'. ( see webpage). Other than that its been just your average busy couple of months, taking all sorts of differant people out for the ride of their lives, the oldest was 89, Betty, she's awesome and the youngest was a young lad called John age 10, who won the chance to take his dad out in a competition which we had running on Durham FM. In between all ages, young couples in Newcastle, Birthday suprises in Weardale, Retirements in Durham, and so on. Till next time.. Thats all Folks..... Mark. |
