| Here are the answers to questions which we are regularly asked. Q. Are there any age limits ? A. There are no age limits, our oldest guest was 92 and our youngest was 8 years old, the only requirement is that children can put there feet on the foot rests, 10 years old is a good guide, children must be accompanied by an adult, (age 16 years or over). Q. I want to book a tour as a gift but I dont know which day the receipicant will want to go out? A. No, problem we will supply you with a gift voucher to give to them which is valid for a full 9 months. Q. Do you run the tours all year round ? A. Indeed we do, in every season, Spring, Summer, Autumn & Winter and each season has its own very special quality, enchancing our tour experiences. People are amazed when we tell them that some of the best tours which we run are actually in the winter. Being well wrapped up riding over the dales & moors and seeing the long hazy winter sun glistening on the frosted hills before sipping hot toddies next to a log fire in our local on the back of the Pennines is one of our favourite experiences of the year. Q. What do I need to bring ? A. Just bring yourself with good trousers and sensible shoes and socks, we supply quality jackets and gloves which are really warm & helmets with intergrated headsets . A camera is a good idea to record your memorys but dont worry if you forget it, we normally keep a good camera onboard and we will email your pictures when you get back. Q. Do we need to wear helmets ? A. No, helmets are not required by law on a trike. We do supply helmets on all tours over 30 minutes as its nice to be able to talk through the intercoms. However we do keep onboard hats and black sunglasses for those who just prefer to go natural. Q. If my family come to see me off what can they do while I tour ? A. Our base is Bradley Burn farm shop, here you can get a coffeeor a meal, browse a wide range of fresh produce, theres a childrens play area and even a farm trail to walk around. We are also only 5 minutes away from Hamsterley forest & 5 minutes away from Wolsingham, a quaint Market town which homes the Weardale Railway. Stanhope, the centre of Weardale is about 10 minutes away by car. Q. What happens if its raining ? A. If it looks like the weather will be unsuitable we will re-schedule your tour with you over the telephone with no fuss to a date which is convienient for you, but in all honesty it dosn't rain as much as people like to believe. Our quality clothing is water repellent and light showers are no problem. We have only had to reschedule a handful tours in the last couple of years due to adverse weather. We have a link to the Met-office on our website which gives a very accurate forcast, that combined with very good local knowledge gives us a real advantage. We always keep waterproofs on board but they are VERY rarely needed. Remember , your enjoyment is paramout to us... Q. Can you cater for special needs or disabilitys ? A. We always endevour to make it possible for people with diabilitys to enjoy the thrill of riding in the open air on our trike . We are aware that it can take a little longer but this is not a problem, we will do everything can to help and give you the Ride of Your Life. Please just call for a chat and hopefully we can help. Q. Which is your most popular tour and why ? A. All of our tours are really popular but the one which is booked most often is the 2 hour & 3 hour tour of Weardale & Teesdale. The countryside here is known as Englands last wilderness, its totally unspoiled and spectacular, that combined with the fact that we are able to keep the prices right down as we are based here all help add to the fantastic journey our guests experience. Q. What if my voucher has run out or I cant take the tour before the expiry date? A. We know sometime people are unable to find time for what ever reason to take the tour before the end date. For that reason we have a (safety net) in place. If you are unable to use you voucher within the dates stated on it please call us before the expiry date or within 14 days of the expiry date and,we will to send you a new voucher which gives an extension of 3 months from the end date on your original voucher.
